The Kiyora will feature the next-generation Mazda SKY concept power-train technologies and comprehensive weight reduction. 
Mazda’s next-generation engine- the new Mazda SKY-G is a 1.3 L direct injection engine.
The new gasoline engine improves fuel economy and torque by about 15 % when compared to Mazda’s current 2-litre gasoline engine.

The Kiyora will also feature an automatic transmission that is Mazda’s lightweight six speed SKY-Drive transmission.
The SKY-Drive improves fuel-economy by using technologies like minimal mechanical-friction, clutch with minimized slip,
a revised torque converter, and an optimized lock-up mechanism.

PeeSard:
The Kiyora will also be aided by Mazda’s exclusive features including i-stop idling stop-system
and regenerative braking. The compact body of Kiyora is a paragon of Mazda’s advanced aerodynamics.
It is around 220 pounds lighter than Mazda’s existing model in the same segment.

The Mazda Kiyora is expected to obtain an outstanding fuel-economy of 75 miles per gallon.
It is tested and certified through Japan’s combined 10-15 mode test cycle. 
Mazda will also reveal engines with advanced technologies.



The SKY-G engine enables a fuel economy that is equivalent to the Mazda2 to be achieved in a large vehicle
in the size of a Mazda3 with the help of variable-valve timing and fuel-injectors. The SKY-D is a clean diesel engine
which incorporates piezo-injectors, a two stage turbocharger and other technologies to get 20 % better fuel-economy than
the Mazda 2.2L diesel. It allows Mazda2 like fuel economy in a vehicle the size of the Mazda6. 
The 41st Tokyo Motor Show starts from October 23 and ends on November 4, 2009.

The Mazda Kiyora that is a compact, extremely Eco-friendly
and fun-to-drive concept car will attract a lot of camera eyes.
