Car of the Year 2010: "VW Polo" wins the match




The Volkswagen Polo is the Car of the Year 2010. It won a close contest with the Toyota iQ.
Just ten points, 347 to 337, separated the two leading contenders,
while the Opel/Vauxhall Astra took third place, with 221 points.

ผู้ที่สามารถครอบครองตำแหน่งนี้ได้คือ Toyota Prius ด้วยคะแนน 433 คะแนน คณะกรรมการให้เหตุผลว่า
รถคันนี้เป็นรถเพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อมที่มีการพัฒนาตนเองไป ได้ไกลมาก ตอบสนองความต้องการลูกค้าและรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมไปในตัว
ขณะเดียวกัน Toyota ก็สามารถทำราคารถของตนได้คุ้มค่าน่าซื้อมากที่สดรุ่นหนึ่ง
จึงไม่น่าแปลกใจว่าทำไมเหล่าคณะกรรมการและลูกค้าต่างพากันเทใจให้กับ Toyota Prius รุ่นนี้

ส่วนผู้เข้าชิงแชมป์อันดับ 2 คือ Honda Insight โฉมใหม่ทำแต้มได้ 391 คะแนน แม้ทางคณะกรรมการจะไม่ระบุสาเหตุก็ตาม
แต่ทุกคนก็ทราบเหตุผลกันดีคือรถรุ่นนี้ข้อจำกัดด้านเทคนิคเครื่องยนต์ Hybrid ซึ่งเป็น Mild Hybrid ที่ไม่อาจจะเทียบเคียงประสิทธิภาพกับ Full Hybrid ได้เลย

ผู้เข้าชิงอันดับ 3 คือ Volkswagen Golf 186 คะแนน,
อันดับ 4 คือ Mitsubishi i-MIEV 131 คะแนน ,
อันดับ 5 คือ Mercedes-Benz E Class sedan / coupe 125 คะแนน,
อันดับ 6 Mazda Axela 71 คะแนน,
อันดับ 7 Volvo XC60,
อันดับ 8 มีผู้ครองอันดับร่วม 2 ค่ายได้ Nissan Fairlady Z และ Alfa Romeo Mito ด้วยคะแนนเท่ากันคือ 49 คะแนน ,
อันดับ 9 Subaru Legacy 38 คะแนน

ที่อินเดียก็มีครับพี่ เป็นตัว hatchback 5 ประตู สวยดี มีเป็นเครื่อง 1.2 ดีเซลและเบนซิน
มีคู่แข่งคือ Hyundai i20 ซึ่งไม่สวย (ตั้งใจใส่เส้นสายรอบคันมากไปหน่อย)

หลังจากรถยนต์เชฟโรเลต 2 รุ่น ได้รับการคัดเลือกให้คว้ารางวัลรถยนต์ยอดเยี่ยมแห่งปี 2553 หรือ Car of The Year 2010
จากการตัดสินของคณะกรรมการที่เป็นกลาง ทั้งคณาจารย์และผู้เชี่ยวชาญภาควิชาวิศวกรรมยานยนต์จากสถาบันต่างๆ
ซึ่งจัดโดย บริษัท กรังด์ปรีซ์ อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล จำกัด

Australia Car of the Year 2009




Volkswagen’s Golf has been awarded the 2009 Wheels Car of the Year.

The multi-award winning Golf has outclassed a field of 22 cars to collect what is widely considered to be Australia’s most coveted award.

To have been selected for this award, the Golf had to impress eight judges over an extensive week of testing.

Wheels magazine editor, Ged Bulmer, said: “The turbo-charged, five-door hatch Volkswagen range is outstanding.

“The Golf oozes sophistication, refinement and development – in an energetic package that comes with fundamentally good steering and balance,” he said.

Veteran judge and former editor, Peter Robinson said, “The level of overall refinement is worthy of two classes higher … balance and weighting of all controls [are] BMW-like in their consistency and tactility. Ride and handling, best in class.”

Volkswagen last won the Wheels Car of the Year in 1976, also for the Golf. While two years earlier Volkswagen collected the award with the Passat.
