Good evening (here in France, it is 8:20 p.m.), yes it is my car. Previously I had a Ford Escort 1.6L 90hp. In France, an Opel Astra Bertone Turbo is an easy car to buy. For about € 5 000, you can own one, but car insurance, which is mandatory, is expensive, not to mention the price of gasoline today. The super unleaded 98 is now on average 1.60€/ L.

Let me explain why it has the nickname "Le Français". We are all from France, and all on the same forum that talks about the Opel Astra Bertone (forum OACC).  :)

I have to say good morning here in Thailand.Ah that why you have the same nickname.We don't have this model in Thailand.The last model of the opel in Thailand is Zafira but under the Chevrolet brand.We don't have 98 we have only 95 and 91.And average price is 1 eur/l.

You are very lucky. 1 € / L, for us it was a few years ago now. The views of the press, the SSP98 is expected to increase to 2 € / L before the end of the year ...

In insurance, with six years of driving, ensuring only for theft, fire, glass breakage, I pay every month 70 €.

Oh it's bloody cost of the insurance.We have many option for the insurance up to the coverage.Just like first class  second class and third class.For me I paid for the first class which around 350 eur/year. :)

Thank you, the videos are on track "Fay de Bretagne" in the department of "Loire Atlantique" in "France".
 The video in the Corsa OPC is a very good friend.


In June, with the "OPC Club France", you get a rally in central France during the 3, 4 and 5 June with tour, restaurant, camping, etc. ...


In the future, certainly this year, I will improve my car, going with a turbo Z20LEH, Z20LEH cooling, heat exchanger volume, and reprogramming. I should reach 250 to 260 hp.
 If all goes well in the future I will replace a camshaft with more efficient with adjustable pulleys.

in Thailand has changed unlead 91 and unlead 95 to be gasohol 91, gasohol 91 and E20 (gasoline+methil algohol) since 1998.

In France, the government wants to remove many of the SSP98 powerful vehicles depend on it. Instead, it was the SSP95, bio ethanol, the SSP95 E10 and diesel. The French government raised a lot of gasoline taxes, and conveys a very positive message on diesel, then it is a highly polluting fuel!

What about LPG and CNG user?
In Thailand, it not expensive (11B/L = 0.25 eur ). My Corsa GSi just change to used LPG 1 year ago, it ok.

We have GPL (LPG) in France. The installation of the system is about 2500 - 3000 € today. A liter is about € 0.70.

It very expensive for installation, the cost in thailand is about 285 eur for Fumigation Set and 470 eur for Sequential Injection Set. (1 eur = 42.5 baht)

J'arrive après m'être perdu dans Sancerre, je rentre dans l'acceuil du camping, le patron ne me trouve pas dans son ordinateur, obliger d'aller chercher la fiche de réservation de Jypo pour pouvoir rentrer.
Je rejoins tout le monde, début des présentation, et "à la recherche" des 80m².  :lol: 
J'installe mon campement, montage de tente dont je me suis fais aider par Mme Fop et Jypo, et gonflage du matelas en 4 minutes environ (voir ci-dessus...  :lol:  ).
Discussion tranquille le soir, petit tour de plusieurs véhicules avec toujours ma préférence pour la Corsa OPC.  :oops:

Samedi matin, grosse tête dans le ***, et pour beaucoup je pense. Levé 8H00, pas simple de prendre le rythme vacance/camping.
Départ pour la virée à 11H00 direction la station essence... et un léger débordement... enfin disons que moi et Mick, on allait tellement vite que l'on a aider tout le monde derrière nous à louper la sortie.  :lol:

While some new after all this time my car. I traveled 5000km engine without any worries. I replaced the temperature sensor water had a weakness from Germany before reprogramming, down one to two centimeters intercooler hose replaced a cooling system that tired after ten years of loyal service , do two bellows gimbal (first replaced by a universal bellows then again replaced by a home), a tie belt to the passenger carpet, and I think it is (which is well ! ).
Otherwise fault code, no engine grazing, no smoke or anything else, reprogramming worth its weight in gold !  :P

Do not make a generality, this is the first time I come across someone as aggressive for me, and I do not doubt will leave a good memory. We assume the trick, so no need to be tried, but it just was not rolling fast, no zigue zague, no honking not, there was no person (or car or pedestrian), etc. .. . : Wink:
